Actual Updater

Update Information File

Update Information File (or UIF) is a plain text file (e.g. update.txt) that contains information about new version: new version number, link to download this version, and release notes (optional).

Important Note: starting version 4.5 of Actual Updater, there is used a new structure of Update Information Files. Now it can also include release notes for the latest and previous versions (example). Old structure can show release notes for the latest version only (example).

You can create this file manually or by using Actual Updater Configuration Tool. This file should be uploaded to your web server, so Updater.exe can access it. Every time when you release a new version of your program, you should also update this file on your server.
